Nite Out!

So tuesday Wes took of from work early to go to the doc. Since I knew he was getting home early I wanted to do something fun that nite instead of just doing the same old, same old. So, as soon as he walked in the door I say hey lets go fishin'. He says it's REALLY HOT out there! Then seriously about 2 mins later he yells back to me ok get ready! So we went out to McTucker Ponds and he totally kicked butt! He got about 10 fish were as I only got 3! What the?! Oh well, it was still a fun nite out!

This last week we decided to go on a 3 day weekend to Island Park. As we were packing friday morning Wes asked me to wash whites so he'd have enough underwear for the weekend. Well I started a load and a while later Wes came downstairs & we found out that our washer had peetered out! Well he rushed the clothes to a laudramat while I worked the morning away. Needless to say we just got it fixed yesterday(tuesday) and hopefully it stays working!Well we had a blast over the weekend, we fished in the Island Park Res. and Henry's Lake. In a little aluminum boat those big boats just about had us turned upside down when they'd come flying by us with a tube or skier behind them at mach 10! Oh and I saw two deer in the forest on our outdoor adventures! I told Wes-"hey i saw a doe!, a deer!" Then he chimes in with "a female deer?!" It was a bun first camping trip of the year!

Reunions Already!!!

This past weekend Wes,Jolene(his mom), and I went to Salt Lake for a family reunion. It was fun to see his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grma. We only see them once maybe twice a year so it was nice. We shopped,got rained on, and Wes struggled to get the door to the hotel room to work(only to find out it didn't work for the manager either!) that was a hoot! Oh did I mention that it rained? Constantly! I packed thinking it would be warm. And I feel like a kid the day before we left I signed up to do summer reading! How much of a nerd am I?! I know!

So I can"t even remember the last time I updated you all! How bad is that? The weather is warming up so we have been out waiting for the lakes and res. to melt so we can go fishing! Let's see what else...my brother left for his mission to the Belem Brazil Mission in January. We spent Valentines weekend in SLC! That was a blast! Wes got to go to Cabelas and I got to go to Ikea, it was the best idea we could come up with that we both would enjoy. I got pink hair!!! I know I'm a nerd and a kid at heart! We are going to see Wes' grma in Vernal Utah here in a while and hopefully it will be nice so we can go fishing! Also they have this place that has the best beef sandwiches EVER! I will have to get the pics off the camera and on to the computer so you can see what all we've been up to. Oh yeah, Megs( my sister) had her baby Feb. 11th, Colt J. Fields how cute is that?! Sorry but that is all I can remember off of the top of my head. OH I think that everyone should watch the T.V. show parenthood on Tues. nite and let me know if you love it like I do?!

Nearing the end

The summer is nearing the end and we've been to all of our missionary farewells,my brother being ordained an elder, Boise(for a triple b-day party),fishing,camping,and now just two more trips and it will all be over! It has gone by so fast!Although Wes just got a boat this weekend so the fishing and camping might not be a thing of the past just yet!

What a crazy fun summer! Last weekend we took a 5 day weekend and went to Yellowstone, and Billings. We camped and fished, and had fun just the 2 of us!Being away from the cats for so long-now they are constantly making me CRAZY! From now until late September we have fun filled weekends ahead of us! This week-SLC-was supposed to be just a day trip but Wes decided to go down a day early,i'm so excited!

While i've been gone Wes has been able to fish as much as his little heart desires! And he gets to see how much attention those little kitties require! But every night when we talk he keeps asking me if i'm coming home the next day! He's a funny boy!I only get away 1 WEEK a year so i'm taking the whole time! This year he is picking me up on SLC and the 2 of us are going to cabelas and ikea-i'm excited!

French Fried!

So i'm gone to Utah with my sisters having a blast!It is nice and warm-just 104 degrees! Yesterday we were in the pool most of the day and soaking up some rays. Well my back got the bad end of the deal!And my sisters say going without a bra is not optional! RUDE! But my face will definitly reap the rewards of the sun! Being in your twenties is not when you want your face to break out crazy bad!At least not all of me was french fried!

Also-since we had to put Odee to sleep Missi was lonely. So we got her a friend! Yah,yah, I know we are cat collectors! He's charcoal gray and SO tiny! So he got named Cole. Two weeks later they finally decided to be friends! Three weeks later he finally got potty trained! That was a nightmare! Poor Wes, he had to clean up most of it because it smelt so strong I couldn't do it! Hopefully these ones will last pretty long-no one should have to go through that more than once!

My sisters,mom, and I leave on Friday!YAY!Tomorrow is going to be crazy but it will be totally worth it! Early the following morning we'll pack up and leave this old town-for a whole week-and not even miss it! Ok maybe we'll miss our husbands!Maybe!

Hello!!! A lot has been going on so it's been awhile! We got a little kitten! We couldn't decide on a name so she gets called all sorts of things! Wes' grandma Ashcraft got sick and about 2 months later passed away. Then a week later we had to put Odee (our cat we've had for 3 years)to sleep! And I didn't see Wes shed a tear through either of these times! He's an emotional Rock! I could learn a thing or two from him! I was telling my neice about Odee going to live with Heavenly Father and she piped up "hey! my dog saber went to live with Heavenly Father too! Maybe they play with each other there!" Those of you who know me know I'm emotionally unstable! So my little neice had me in tears! Oh how innocent yet how smart little children are! Oh I got to watch my neices for two days in a row and we had a blast! We went to play with our cousins in the park,for HOURS, both days. The first day when we got home they were out for over 2 hours! The next day I was not so lucky! But I did trick them into the house for popcicles! After all this I'm excited to see what else the summer can bring!

I am currently trying to pay bills online and it's being a pain! After an hour of trying to figure out how to set up and pay for this one bill I'm starting to wonder why i wait till the last minute? Oh well that's me-always the procrastinator!

A Friend

On satuday we got a kitten! She's a little gray fur-ball(i don't remember Odee being that furry!)who jumps around like she's listening to hip-hop! Watching her make her way up and down the stairs is hilarious! I am happy to announce she has already served her purpose! Odee is more calm. Yay! He's so busy keeping an eye on her making sure she stays away from his favorite areas of the house that he hasn't been running laps around the house or breaking things! The jury is still out on what to call her! I know-3 days!-and we are still undecided! Names we are trying to choose from are: Coalie or Ash. Wes calls her Coalie and I call her Coal or Little miss. She's going to be so confused for a while with our lack of one consistant name for her. Oh well, at least Odee has a friend!

Becoming Home!

-S.R. boys didn't win at state but i'm so impressed they made it there!
-The hair show was amazing! I learned so many new things! Sis. Lambert asked me 2 come to activity day with the 8-11 year olds and teach them about hair and I am so pumped!
-I rearranged my livingroom, it helps me appreciate different pieces of furniture more. Well wes pointed out that you can see so much more of the walls now. So i painted!He even tempted me with black(my favorite color) for the trim but i didn't give in.Our house is becoming a home! And it only took about 3 years!Now wes wants to do the piano room! Sometimes he is such a girl that way! But i love him anyway!Who else can say their husband loves to shop, help pick out colors, & help decorate?! Now if only i would be smart enough to take before and after pics!
-It is decided=Odee(our cat)will be getting a friend! Now starts the quest for a girl cat(fixed and declawed!)to mellow him out!

Boise X's 2

The Snake River boys are going to state! So off to Boise we go! Then 2 weeks after that I will be going there again for a hair show! That is always interesting and fun! Plus Wes can have all day to shop while I'm in classes! In case you don't already know he can out shop me!

Fun Filled Weekend

All of you Snake River alumni will be proud to know that the boys basketball team has been way good this year! They play districts this friday which I am so pumped for!
I have still been swimming in the mornings! I know- good job to me! And we both have been going to the gym a couple of nights a week! Yes I too am impressed! This morning it was soooo tempting to stay in bed! Warm sheets, comfy pillows and the cat resting at my feet why would I want to get up? Oh so tempting just to stay there! But I have been sleeping so much better! It is nice to be able to lay down at night and actually fall asleep w/o medicine.
Saterday for valentine day we went to lunch with Cain and Libby and their kids. Then Wes and I went to a movie and had a nice dinner at home. Although he made the mistake of getting me a book so in the evenings I haven't been paying much attention to him now!I do love to read and I was wanting the new Anita Stansfield book really bad!
We went to Hazelton for the long weekend, well part of it anyway. And while we were there we tried out my father in laws new 4 wheeler! I forget how fun those can be! Wes tried his hardest to get me to fall off but he would have come down with me!(I was holding on so tight to him!) The morning air was freezing and I was just in sweats with my hood on tightly(looking oh so goofy!)but Wes was a good wind block for me. It was a nice weekend!

I'm going to get better at keeping up. Since it's been a while here's what has been happening:

1- megan had her baby!
2- our friends got sealed and the next day they blessed their baby, Imree!(congrats!)
3- we got new neighbors
4- pissed off the new neighbors(that's a crazy story!)
5- megan blessed her baby
6- went to rexburg to visit Alana(my lil' sister!)
7- i've started water arobics in the mornings(with all the old ladies!)
8- supporting the snake river high school basket ball team(they're pretty good this year!)
9- finally got more contacts!
10-good-bye oh-so-familiar a-line haircut!

Next thing on my list is to see the Twilight movie!I'm trying to talk Wes into it! Some things may not be in the right order but we're keeping busy!

So I am hooked on tetris! My younger sister recently had to tell me you can find anything on the internet! Since then I play tetris and the original mario games while wes watches sports,works, or when I think there is nothing to do! I wouldn't have thought it up on my own to look for games like that.So thanks Lana! I love you!

Busy Busy Busy!

A lot has been happening so I haven't really had time to sit and write about it. Wes' grmpa got sick the week of Thanksgiving. He died the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We went to Vernal for the funeral; which made it another short work week for the both of us! Then there were a few normal days before our fridge quit working! So off to Sears we go. New fridge in place and final get rid of the old one! Sorry if any of you had to see the old one sitting outside for a couple of days! Wasn't that classy?! Then my lil' sister Megan finally had her baby a few days ago! Now Wes is sick and sleeping a lot and I'm bored out of my mind! Although I have had time to read and I am happy to say I only have about 30 pages left of the Twilight series!So hopefully now life will get back to normal!

Crazy Sunday!

Yesterday was the primary program at church. And I'm the pianist! The rehersal the day before was crazy to say the least! And I got asked to play at a "preparing for priesthood" meeting that would be later the same day! Luckily they both went over very well. The children were much better with their parents there. And at the young mens meeting the singing was amazing!(people were singing all parts! s.a.t.b.!!! i was impressed!)My crazy sunday turned out not crazy at all!

A week of Celebration!!!

On October 29th we found out Wes got on full-time with the city! Only four years,and some good hard (wet)work and he got it! So we went out to dinner to celebrate! The next day Oct.30 was my birthday but I worked til 9:00 that night so no celebrating. Saturday after the Snake River football game we went to Lava Hot Springs!Always fun! Sunday we had reese's pie and presents with my family! What a week of fun!

Like a Senior Citizen

So last weekend I noticed that my drivers license expired! Well monday I went in to renew it and was told if it is expired over a year you have to take the written and driving test! Guess what...mine was way past the experation date! I passed the written test and in the afternoon went to my driving test. The guy testing me said I did good, but that I drive like a senior citizen! Here he is in his 80's and he's making fun of me!I have been in wrecks before so I like to be safe!

So my only appointment today is my lil' sister Kallie. And we are going to do BLUE HAIR! I just got off the phone with my mom who said "i'm conservative can we keep her hair that way?" So apparently my mom knows me! And she's scared as a baby! We'll just have to see how it turns out! And yes mom, I'll try to be conservative!

No more room in the Inn!

I'll have you know my house is not extremely big. And there is only one spare bed. That being said on Saturday with the crazy snow storm my in-laws couldn't make it home so they stayed in our spare room. Then later that night I got a call from my sister that is living in Rexburg. She had been at Lagoon that day and on her way home she slid off the road! We were the closest people she could think of to call. We only have 2 wheel drive pickups so I told her to call dad. While she was on the phone with dad a tow truck just happened to drive by! So, $40 later the girls were on their way to Pocatello! It took them another hour to get here. Once here the three girls set up camp in my living room! This little Inn was almost as full as it could be. In the morning we made them a nice breakfast and we were amazed 3 girls could eat that much! Next time we will try to be more prepared for a house full!

Caught One!

We went camping this weekend in Heise. It was pretty fun. Saturday we gto there, set-up camp and went down to the river to fish. I was catching everything;trees, bushes, moss/seaweed, twigs, branches and anything else that you can catch without actually catching a fish! Needless to say I lost about 6 or 7 hooks, some bobbers,weights but thankfully not my pole! Kudos to me! Wes only lost a few hooks and then we decided we'd lost enough for that day so back to the camp for dinner and games. The next day we went to Spring Creek and I finally caught a fish! I never realized fish bleed but it makes sense right?! Wes caught two! We had good weekend and caught some fish how cool is that?!

Sorry, I am not the best at keeping up on things. So this actually happened a couple of weeks ago! Wes and I decided to take a 3 day weekend to go camping and fishing. It was my first time fishing so you can imagine how handicapped I looked trying to use a fishing pole! The first day we went to Lake Chesterfield outside of Lava. Guess what- we didn't catch a thing! The next morning I woke up befoe the sun! That alone was amazing since I usually don't get up til 8 or 9! We didn't even want to try fishing there again since our first days efforts were a failure. So we packed up and were on our way to Massacre Rock. It is gorgeous there! Plus they had a shower house and bathrooms. And a water spicket at each campsite.How cool is that?! Although we didn't catch anything there either it was fun! That nite Wes' parents met us at our campsite and we roasted hotdogs and marshmellows and then we played cards. We all decided that was a great place to campout at!

Girls Week Away (in St. George)

Every year my mom,me, and my sisters get away to St. George. It was over 100 degrees every day,even when it rained! StacyAnn and I had never seen a show at Tuacan(an outdoor ampitheater in the mountainside)so on Tuesday night Stac, Regina, and I went to Le Mes. It was georgeous!!! And everyone in the play were extremely talented. I would strongly suggest Tuacan to any of you who might go to St. George and even remotely like music/musicals.
Most of the time we were at the pool getting crazy burnt! We also went shopping and out to eat a few times. The nieces made me a little crazy at times, but for the most part they were fun to swim with and play games with(even though they usually made a total mess of the games!)Spending time with family and catching up with them and reminicing is a time I look forward to each year!Plus we leave the husbands at home to fend for themselves! That also makes the week away worth it. We should probably call it our "no boys allowed week!"

Jackson Hole Weekend

Wes and I went to Jackson this past weekend to see Alana,Shanae, and Chelsea. They are all liking it there. We saw the ranch that they work at. It is nothing like I thought it would be. It is right in town and all of the employees live in one big old, not so nice, house together. We went around the shops and had lunch at the Cadillac Grill(still sooo good!) Later in the day we stopped for dessert in a ice cream shop in the back of one of the cute little stores,I would've never known it was there. The weather was perfect, the drive was nice, and I loved seeing my lil' sis! I love her and miss her so much! So Jackson Hole was an awesome weekend retreat!

Hot Spot!

I went swimming with my cousin and her little 3 year old here at Ross Park. It must have been a good idea because we ran into at least 3 people that we went to high school with. It was nice to see familiar faces that I haven't seen in quite a while. I also got a little bit of sun on my arms and back! Since I haven't seen the sun for over a year it was well needed!

Idaho Falls

The Idaho Falls Chukars are playing ball again. We went to see them this weekend and we left when they were down 8-2. I had had enough of the people behind me!The lady was directly behind me and kept crossing and uncrossing her legs, and each time she would do either she'd kick me in the back! One of her kids spilled their blue slushie and it also got my back! We went with our friends Cain,Libby, and their son Koye. After the game we went out to Chili's. Koye wanted to sit by Wes and I but that might not have been the best idea. At some point during the meal the little guy tried to get his napkin and spilled ranch dressing all down his side! So he got to sit by his parents the rest of the meal. All in all our trip to Idaho Falls was quite exciting!
