Fingers crossed and hoping to adopt!

We have now been married almost 12 years. It has flown by! We've tried for over 8 years to have a child and haven't yet. So last year my husband suggested adoption. I was thankful he had been thinking about it and thankful that he brought it up. We have done all the paper work and got the 'ok' from the state to adopt. We tried to adopt for a year now. We are willing to have an open adoption or as open as the birth parents want the adoption to be. And we don't have a preference on race/ethnicity. My husband works for the city, and i do hair from home. So i have a flexible schedule and can be home with the baby. We do want to raise our child in our home as a christian. We want to love, guide, help, and nurture our child to grow in to a positive and happy person.
